June 11-12 John Voitier 504 259 8983 March 24th ZTA/∑AE Swap The Brothers of TN Rho and Sisters of ZTA had a swap at the local bowling alley. There were 12 brothers present and 11 lovely ladies. The night was a success. March 9th Province Experience During this year’s Province Convention, the TN Rho Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon brought back three awards: Community Service, Alumni Relations and Chapter Achievement. Along with chapter awards Brother Edmund Howe was named Eminent Archon of the year, and Alumnus Evan Walker was named Province Eminent Deputy Archon. This year’s convention was a great success for the Brothers of TN Rho. December 8th Dylan Heim’s Basketball Game The pledges last night attended the last home game of Senior Dylan Heim. The cheered on the team to a 40+ victory over Williams Baptist. Heim finished the game with 6 points. December 3rd Serenading Maurelian The active members and pledges sang songs to the woman’s housing on the CBU Campus last night. The turnout of young woman and their friends was outstanding. November 20th 20^th Anniversary of ΣAE TN RHO On the weekend of November 13^th, the Tennessee Rho chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon conducted its annual Alumni Weekend. This year, the chapter celebrated its 20^th Anniversary on the campus of Christian Brothers University. The weekend began with “A Night at the Tracks” as the alumni, along with active members and pledges, congregated at Southland Raceway and Casino. The following morning began with an alumni football game in which the teams were divided into odd/even badge numbers. The winners of the event were the men who were lucky enough to wear an even number, but in all every attendee enjoyed the event. The weekend wrapped up on Saturday night as the chapter gathered at the Old Daisy Theatre on historic Beale Street. The event was very successful featuring a mob theme and the glorious speaker, Jim Pope. The active chapter and pledges would like to thank all of the alumni who attended the weekend and would love to see them back next year. November 11th BIG BROTHER NIGHT On Wednesday, November 11th, the Tennessee RHO Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon formally pinned eight new pledges. This day also consisted of the new pledges receiving a BIG Brother to lead them through their new experiences. (Check PLEDGES for Names) November 8^th THE NEW ROCK Sigma Alpha Epsilon pledge class shows its pride as they paint the rock, late one night. OCTOBER 30^TH BEGINNING OF A NEW CLASS Sigma Alpha Epsilon welcomes in the Alpha Nu pledge class on October 30^th. The pledges consist of the following: Blake Ward, Nick Smith, Forrest Edwards, Will Hensley, Robert Sullivan, Lee Paine Michael Hill, Robert O’Ryan, Nick Watkins, Tyler Dunn OCTOBER 3RD BOXING TOURNAMENT FOR CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK On October 3, 2009 our chapter held our 8^th annual Boxing Tournament that benefitted Children’s Miracle Network. For those who do not know, the Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues. This year our chapter proudly raised over $2,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. The chapter gathered twenty amateur boxers to compete in the event that has become synonymous with success. Over five hundred spectators witnessed the boxing tournament this year and the reception received was nothing short of sensational. The brothers of TN Rho look forward to the boxing tournament every year because of the popularity the event has built itself. Countless hours were put into the tournament for sponsors, organization, and various miscellaneous activities. Personally, I want to thank all that made this year a success and look forward to seeing everyone out again next year.	Link to ΣAE.net Our Graduating Brothers In November of 1986, several students unhappy with the fraternities on campus decided to organize their own fraternity, a fraternity based on excellence in academics and athletics. It was at that time that the idea of a scholar/athlete was born, and Beta Alpha Delta was officially recognized by CBU in the spring of 1987. After dominating all of the Greek activities on and off campus, the organization received a colony recognition from Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity on November 11, 1989.
