New Pictures + Canoe Trip Information + SPDC Information!

We here at Christian Brothers University would like to start off by thanking all of the wonderful people that came here for the 2009 ASME SLS! We all had a great time, met some great people, and had much to learn! The pictures from the weekend can be accessed in our Image Gallery. Thanks once again!

Another note, we will be hosting our annual canoe trip on October 9th-10th. This will be an overnight event, cabin rentals will be available if you choose not to bring a tent. Pricing information will come shortly, so be on the lookout for that! ASME officers will periodically stop by some of the ME classes to provide information, so keep an eye out for us or feel free to shoot one of us an e-mail! Officer and e-mail information can be found on our Officers page in the toolbar above.

One final thing to note, SPDC (Student Professional Development Conferences) will be hosted by University of Miami in MIAMI, FLORIDA during the Spring semester. Students, how about a FREE trip to Miami? Come on, you get to go to Miami in Spring for free! Who wouldn't want that! To be able to go, you must be a member of ASME (free for freshman and only $25 for all others!) and let Dr.Paul Shiue know you are interested. There are still some details to be ironed out, so take this as a preliminary message. For more information, again, contact Dr. Paul Shiue in the Mechanical Engineering department.

Welcome all incoming and transfer students from the Christain Brothers ASME member! We hope you have had a great summer, and are now getting prepared to start the new fall semester. There will be some important events coming up soon, such as out All-ME meeting that will be held on September 3, 2009 at 12:30 PM (come hungry, we will be serving pizza and drinks) in the Nolan Engineering building, as well as other events such as our annual canoe trip! Some of these events may be discussed at the meeting, so we recommend everyone to come and check it out! Let us move on now to a letter from our Chair, please follow the link below!
