LATEST NEWS
  • Thanks to all the SPSers that assisted in setting up and running the demonstrations at the Engineering Competition on April 14. The Loop of Death and Bed of Nails impressed all of our visitors. The highlight of the day was when our President, Dr. John Smarelli, sat inside the loop! See the photos from the event in the Photo Section .

  • We had a great time flying kites at Shelby Farms on April 2. Kudos to those of you that made your own kites and an additional congratulations if your kite actually flew! Photos of the kite-fly are posted in the Photo Section.

  • Thanks to all those who helped out at the Science Olympiad!
  • We know that it is 2011, but remember that 2010 marked the 50th anniversary of the invention of the laser. The LaserFest site is still up and has lots of laser information.

UPCOMING CBU SPS EVENTS
  • Join us on April 28 at 4:00 p.m. in AH 153 for the presentation "The Physics of Sports" by Dr. John Hanneken, Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Memphis.
