Upcoming Events:

We will be having a movie night on September 20 in Assisi Hall. We will be meeting at 4pm in the basement to eat and enjoy some demos, followed by a movie provided by Dr. Clarke.

Come out and help with physics demos at the Engineering Competition on Friday, April 27! We will pull out the Loop-of-Death and the Bed-of-Nails again. Maybe we can get President Smarelli to sit inside the loop again!


Past Events:

All are welcome to attend the Sigma Pi Sigma induction ceremony at 2:00 on April 13 in AH 153. Sigma Pi Sigma is the national physics honor society. This year's inductees are students Brent Holmes, Kyle Moats, Thomas Schill, and faculty member Dr. Ted Clarke.

If you missed Dr. Varriano's talk on polarized glasses and 3-D movies on March 27, stop by his office and he will be glad to show you some of the interesting properties of these glasses.

We had a great time flying kites at Shelby Farms on March 24. Kudos to those of you that made your own kites and an additional congratulations if your kite actually flew!

We will be having a Physics Jeopardy night on Nov. 13, 2012. Come out and enjoy some awesome trivia and meet other people interested in the same things you are!!!

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the CBU SPS Trivia Night. It was a blast! A special congratulations to Rhodes for winning the awesome science trophy! Can’t wait for next year.
